HK 40 is a newly designed motorsailer; powered with 2 x 30 hp Yanmar diesel sail drive motors,with huge saloon and fly bridge, full head room all around; 4 double cabins and in this version only one head, as it has been designed for a couple. Of course it is noticeable the aft mast, often designed but rarely really built. The main advantage of this rig is the powerful sailing plan without boom to interfere on the fly bridge. 2 large headsails on roller furlings, and a small storm main sail ( optional) are enough for good speed and a balanced behavior in heavy conditions. The construction is well advanced and the first unit will be delivered during the summer 2009.
